About this opportunity
The Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District is conducting a Request for Information (RFI) for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software systems, targeting comprehensive software solutions to replace its current disparate systems. The RFI covers 14 functional areas including General Ledger, Project Accounting, Budgeting, Purchasing, Accounts Payable and Receivable, Human Resources, Payroll, and Time and Attendance. Vendors are required to provide detailed information about module availability, system functionality, implementation approach, and cost estimates for a potential new ERP system. The District seeks a solution that can integrate across multiple departments, improve operational efficiencies, and meet the organization's current and future technological needs. Responses are due by close of business on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, and must be submitted via email to Austin Nichols and Brianna Padron at BerryDunn, the project management consultants. All communication regarding the RFI must be conducted through these designated project managers, with no direct contact permitted with District staff during the procurement process.
The RFI does not explicitly specify set-aside designations or restrictions on respondent organizations. The District provided key organizational statistics to assist vendors, including its operating budget, number of employees, and anticipated system users, to help contextualize the potential project scope. While specific budget ranges were not disclosed, the RFI indicates that vendors should provide both low and high-cost estimates for software solutions, with the understanding that these costs are for planning purposes only and will not be binding. The District is subject to Wisconsin Public Records law and has stipulated that all RFI responses will remain confidential until a subsequent solicitation, such as a Request for Proposal or Notice of Intent to Award, is issued. The goal is to maintain fairness in the procurement process while gathering comprehensive information about potential ERP software systems that could meet the District's technological infrastructure needs.
