About this opportunity
The Georgia World Congress Center Authority is requesting proposals for installation of a Distributed Antenna System (DAS) at the Signia by Hilton Hotel within the Georgia World Congress Center campus in Fulton County, with responses due September 9, 2022 at 5:00 PM ET. A strict communication restriction is in effect: interested firms may not communicate with Authority staff, GWCC officials, or their consultants regarding the solicitation or scope except through formal written question submission; finalists and the apparent awardee are prohibited from issuing public statements or press releases about their selection status, and violation of these restrictions may result in rejection of the submittal.
The scope is installation of a complete DAS system providing cellular coverage throughout the hotel, excluding the valet-only parking garage. The system will operate independently from the existing GWCC campus DAS. Work includes antenna installation, conduit for fiber and coax, and all infrastructure necessary to achieve full hotel coverage per provided riser diagrams and architectural drawings. Antennas may be painted to match existing finishes rather than stealth-installed. Mechanical and electrical work for the headend room will be provided by the hotel's construction contractor; GWCC will supply electrical utilities to the headend room and no sub-metering of power is required. Union labor is not required.
The contract term is nine years with no ten-year option. Substantial completion aligns with the hotel's construction timeline; the start date and overall construction schedule will be determined based on the successful bidder's proposal. Guest-Tek serves as the Service Interface contractor, and Baker Audio serves as the AV contractor. Quantum Wireless Networks, LLC has been selected as the Apparent Awardee. Evaluation criteria and weightings will be determined based on RFP responses received.
