About this file

This is a Vendor Questions document for a Distributed Antenna System (DAS) installation project at the Signia by Hilton Hotel at the Georgia World Congress Center (GWCC) in Georgia. The project involves the installation of a complete DAS system to provide cellular coverage throughout the hotel, excluding the valet-only parking garage. The system will be separate from the existing DAS currently operating at the GWCC campus. The scope includes installation of antennas, conduit for fiber and coax, and all infrastructure necessary to achieve full hotel coverage per the provided riser diagram and architectural drawings. Antennas may be painted to match existing finishes rather than requiring stealth installation. The RFP submission deadline was extended to September 9, 2022 at 5:00 PM ET. The contract will be entered directly with GWCC, and GWCC will provide electrical utilities to support the network in the headend room.

The contract term is specified as nine years with no option for a ten-year alternative. Union labor is not required for this project. Mechanical and electrical work for the headend room will be provided as part of the hotel's construction, and power does not need to be sub-metered. Guest-Tek (Rick Trask, 770.329.0222) serves as the Service Interface contractor, and Baker Audio (Kevin Ivey, 770.441.2000) serves as the AV contractor. The construction schedule and start date are to be determined based on the successful bidder's proposal, though the substantial completion date is fixed to align with the hotel's construction timeline. Evaluation criteria and weightings will be determined based on RFP responses received. A communication restriction is in effect prohibiting interested firms from communicating with GWCC or Authority representatives about the solicitation except through formal question submissions.
