About this opportunity

Churchill County, Nevada, through the Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT), is procuring custom culvert pipe end sections for a repair and retrofit project located at SR439 and Innovation Way. The procurement requires the fabrication and delivery of three (3) custom 90-inch triple barrel metal end sections designed to specifications for installation onto nine (9) existing 90-inch, 14-gauge corrugated metal pipe (CMP) culverts currently spaced at approximately 11 feet 6 inches on center. The vendor is responsible for all shop-welded connections prior to delivery, with field connections (butt welds and strapping) to be performed by the Department. The three end sections consist of three different segments (left, center, and right) positioned as Segment 1, Segment 2, and Segment 3 respectively, each with specific edge preparations, trimming, rolling, bending, and stiffening requirements detailed in engineering drawings dated January 15, 2016. Segment 1 requires a 44.5-inch edge dimension, Segment 2 requires 41.5-inch edge dimensions on both sides, and Segment 3 requires a 44.5-inch left edge dimension, with each segment including 24-inch connection zones with a minimum 4-inch overlap requirement for field welding or strapping. The solicitation was posted on January 12, 2026, with quotes due by January 23, 2026, and vendors must submit responses through the NevadaEPro electronic procurement platform as a Seller, completing all required tabs including General Information, Items with unit costs, Questions, Subcontractors, Notes, Terms and Conditions, and Attachments.

The procurement documents indicate that vendors must comply with Nevada State Purchasing Division Terms and Conditions for Goods, including express warranties for fitness for particular and ordinary purposes, merchantability and freedom from defects, conformity to specifications, proper packaging and labeling compliance, and clear title free from liens and encumbrances. Vendors must also provide certification regarding lobbying activities in compliance with federal requirements under Section 1352 of the U.S. Code, with potential civil penalties ranging from $10,000 to $100,000 per violation if certification is not submitted. No specific set-aside designations, disadvantaged enterprise restrictions, incumbent vendor information, or award value ranges are identified in the available solicitation documents. Energy efficiency requirements mandate that any new appliances or equipment meet Energy Star label standards or federal efficiency requirements when cost-effective, unless no items in a given class have been evaluated for such designation. Pricing should be quoted on an F.O.B. basis to the delivery address and does not include applicable federal or state taxes, which the State will pay or offset through tax exemption certificates. Title and risk of loss pass to the State upon acceptance, with the State retaining the right to inspect goods upon arrival within a commercially reasonable timeframe.
