About this opportunity
The New Hampshire Department of Administrative Services, Division of Procurement and Support Services, is requesting bids for full restoration of four gasolier-style chandeliers at the General Court of New Hampshire in Concord, with bids due June 17, 2026 at 10:00 AM Eastern Time.
The scope encompasses disassembly and labeling of fixtures; detailed cleaning of metal surfaces while retaining patina; lacquer removal by soaking; application of museum-grade lacquer with corrosion inhibitors; rewiring and socket replacement with UL-approved components matching original specifications; provision of one period-matching canopy; full reassembly and functional testing; UL testing and labeling for each fixture; and pickup and reinstallation upon completion. One chandelier requires electrification from its original gas configuration. All work must occur between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM on state business days unless pre-approved otherwise, and the vendor may not commence work until a conference is held with the State agency.
Bidders must submit pricing broken into total materials cost, total labor cost, and a $2,000 contingency for unknown or unexpected repairs (contingency work requires prior approval). All bid prices must remain firm for the entire contract period, include delivery and all other costs, and be submitted in U.S. dollars with no additional charges permitted at any time. The contract commences upon approval by the Governor and Executive Council and extends through project completion.
Award is made to the vendor meeting established criteria and providing the lowest total cost. Prior to award, the successful vendor must provide proof of comprehensive general liability insurance of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate, plus workers' compensation insurance as required by state law. A one-year warranty from date of acceptance covers 100 percent of repair or replacement costs including parts, shipping, labor, travel, lodging, and expenses. Questions are due June 10, 2026, with the state's response scheduled for June 11, 2026.
