About this opportunity

Sarasota County is requesting quotes for the design, engineering, permitting, fabrication, site preparation, and installation of two monument signs via Quick Quote solicitation 2026-QQ-835, with responses due September 4, 2026 at 2:30 p.m.

The scope encompasses all-inclusive services for two double-sided monument signs at 1301 Cattlemen Road in Sarasota. The structure must be 8-inch concrete masonry unit block construction with bond beams and rebar on a concrete foundation, compliant with local zoning requirements, Sarasota County Branding Guidelines, and designed to withstand Category 4 hurricane force winds. The exterior finish is Dryvit DPR with sandblast application in two Sherwin Williams colors: Agreeable Gray (7029) for shaded areas and Perle Noir (9154) for non-shaded areas. Signage includes a pin-mounted anodized cast aluminum black logo, black address numbers in Bookman Old Style font, and white verbiage in Myriad Bold font inside a box. The contractor must obtain all permits, locate and mark underground utilities, conduct field measurements, perform site cleanup, and schedule work with the project manager in advance.

The maximum quote is $50,000 as a lump sum. Work must commence within 10 days of County Purchase Order receipt and be completed within 70 days, though the County reserves the right to modify this schedule. All materials are warranted for one year or the manufacturer's standard warranty, whichever is greater. A contingency of up to 10 percent of total bid price may be allowed for unforeseen circumstances subject to written County approval.

Bidders must provide a minimum of three references demonstrating relevant experience, proof of Commercial General Liability ($1 million per occurrence, $2 million aggregate), Business Auto Liability ($1 million combined single limit), and Workers Compensation at statutory limits with employer's liability ($500,000 per accident, $500,000 per person per disease, $500,000 aggregate). Sarasota County must be named as additional insured on the liability policy. Questions are due August 28, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. Award goes to the responsive and responsible bidder with the lowest total bid price. Responses are submitted electronically through the OpenGov portal.
