About this opportunity

Alpine School District is seeking bids for network equipment to support a new elementary school through an E-Rate program solicitation. The procurement focuses on acquiring specific network infrastructure components, primarily from HP/Aruba, including network switches with varying port configurations such as 24-port SFP+ switches, 48-port 1GbE Class 4 PoE switches, and Smart Rate switches. The district requires all equipment to be new, with no used or refurbished items accepted, and vendors must possess a USAC-issued Service Provider ID Number (SPIN) and comply with all E-Rate program regulations. Bid submissions are due on Monday, December 29, 2025, at 2:00 pm MST through the Utah Public Procurement Place (UPPP) Bonfire platform. The district reserves the right to be the sole determiner of product equivalence and compatibility, and vendors may propose alternative brands that meet or exceed the specified technical requirements. Evaluation will focus on compliance with bid requirements, technical specifications, and the ability to integrate with the existing network environment.

There are no specific set-aside designations or restrictions on vendor participation mentioned in the solicitation documents. Vendors must certify compliance with various requirements, including non-engagement in economic boycotts, adherence to civil rights laws, and providing products free from forced labor. While no specific budget range is explicitly stated, the procurement involves multiple network switches with varying specifications. The total contract value will be determined by the submitted pricing on the provided cost sheet. Vendors must guarantee pricing for a specified period and are prohibited from communicating about the solicitation with Alpine School District staff except through the designated procurement officer. The district emphasizes that an award notification does not constitute a binding contract, and only a fully executed purchase order or contract will create a contractual obligation. Successful vendors will be required to deliver equipment to Alpine School District at 490 North State Street, Lindon, Utah 84042, with all associated shipping costs incorporated into the total bid.
