About this opportunity
The Cherokee County School District (CCSD) in Georgia is soliciting proposals through a competitive Request for Proposal (RFP AQT-2026) for comprehensive air quality testing services to support its 42 school sites and multiple administrative facilities serving more than 42,000 students. The required services include particulate matter testing, volatile organic compound analysis, formaldehyde detection, asbestos identification, carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide monitoring, temperature and relative humidity assessment, mold and microbial sampling, and allergen testing across designated areas including offices, storage areas, high-traffic zones, and HVAC output points. Proposers must provide all labor, equipment, materials, tools, and reporting necessary for air quality testing, submit sample reports demonstrating results presentation, provide sample billing invoices showing pricing structure, and document technical methodology along with staff qualifications and certifications. The contract term spans twenty-four months from June 1, 2026, through May 31, 2028, with options to extend up to two additional terms if requested at least 120 days in advance of current term expiration. All pricing must remain firm for the contract duration and any renewals, submitted on a time-and-materials basis using hourly rate structures. Proposals will be evaluated on 100 total points: 35 points for experience and qualifications, 35 points for technical approach and methodology, 20 points for price, and 10 points for references. Questions must be submitted through the Euna Procurement Message Center by 2:00 p.m. on April 28, 2026, and completed proposals must be submitted electronically through the Euna Procurement portal by 9:00 a.m. on May 5, 2026.
No set-aside designations or restrictions limiting responses to specific organization types are identified in the RFP documentation. All proposers must comply with the Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance Act, including federal E-Verify registration for any employees or subcontractors, and must execute required certifications including noncollusion certification, debarment and suspension certification, and acknowledgement of all RFP terms and conditions. Proposers utilizing subcontractors must submit detailed subcontractor information with supporting documentation including signed acknowledgements, insurance certificates, and business references for each subcontractor. Insurance requirements are substantial, including commercial general liability with one million dollar aggregate and one million dollar each occurrence limits, business automobile liability with one million dollar each accident limits, workers compensation insurance at Georgia statutory limits with minimum five hundred thousand dollars employer's liability coverage, and data breach insurance with three million dollar per occurrence limits if accessing District data. All insurance carriers must maintain an A-minus or better rating, and certificates of insurance must be provided with proposals. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are identified in the RFP documentation, and no specific award value or budget range is disclosed, though the evaluation criteria and firm pricing requirement suggest the District will award based on best value and technical merit rather than lowest cost alone.
