About this opportunity
Marion County Fleet Management, Marion County, Florida, is soliciting proposals under RFP 27P-008 for tire supply, repair, and related services for county-owned vehicles and equipment, with proposals due November 24, 2026. Eligibility requires an ASE Certified or equivalent repair facility physically located within Marion County.
Scope covers as-needed tire replacement, mounting, balancing, rotation, flat repair, inspections, TPMS service, tire disposal, computerized wheel alignment, and suspension inspections for a fleet of approximately 1,700 units, including passenger vehicles, light- through heavy-duty trucks, fire apparatus, ambulances, trailers, and specialty equipment. The County intends to pre-qualify up to three vendors. Vendors need three years of continuous tire sales and repair experience, with at least one year of documented governmental or commercial fleet experience, and technicians trained in computerized wheel alignment. Emergency roadside service must be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with calls returned within 25 minutes and technician dispatch within two and one-half hours. Estimates are due within 24 hours, stock tire replacement is same-day when available, and alignment appointments are scheduled within one business day. Labor and parts carry a minimum warranty of three months or 3,000 miles, or the manufacturer warranty, whichever is greater.
The initial term is three years with three optional one-year renewals. The source states no contract value. Replacement tire pricing may not exceed current Florida Sheriffs Association Cooperative Purchasing Contract pricing, and tire disposal must be included in all pricing.
Evaluation totals 1,000 points: pricing 30%, experience with fleet operations 20%, response time 15%, qualifications and certifications 10%, firm location 10%, equipment and facility 10%, and references 5%. The County may award on written proposals alone or request oral presentations. Phase 1 scores carry forward only for location points.
Submissions go through the Marion County Bonfire portal, and vendor contact with county personnel is limited to Bonfire's Vendor Discussions or Ask a Question features. Proposals must include the subcontractor disclosure, conflict of interest statement, and completed rate schedule. Awardees must register through PaymentWorks, and payment terms are net 45 days after invoice or acceptance, whichever is later.
