About this opportunity
Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City Independent School District (SCUC ISD) is soliciting proposals for medical consulting and coordination services to support the District's 2027 self-funded group medical plan, with proposals due September 1, 2026.
The scope encompasses consulting and coordination services regarding potential financial assistance for medical expenses, including pharmacy expenses, for current SCUC employees and covered dependents enrolled in the District's self-funded plan, as well as former employees and qualified beneficiaries in the District's COBRA program. The selected respondent will provide advisory services across strategic planning, claims and financial analysis, vendor evaluation and management, pharmacy benefit strategy, stop-loss strategy, cost-containment initiatives, governance and reporting, and implementation planning.
The District has retained Masonry Health as its independent strategic healthcare advisor. Respondents should note that Masonry Health does not serve as the District's third-party administrator, pharmacy benefit manager, insurance carrier, broker of record, claims administrator, or plan administrator — Masonry Health functions in an advisory capacity only. The selected consulting firm's contractual relationship and obligations are exclusively with the District. While Masonry Health may participate in evaluation, implementation, and ongoing oversight of services, all decisions regarding the District's employee medical plan, vendor selection, and contractual arrangements remain solely within the District's authority.
No estimated contract value, contract term, or other procurement timeline milestones (question deadline, pre-proposal meeting) are specified in the source.
