About this opportunity

The Henry County Board of Education in Georgia is requesting sealed bids for comprehensive HVAC system replacement and upgrade across multiple buildings under ITB 2027-180000-0707-001113, Group 6-2, with bids due August 6, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. at the Administrative Office Annex in McDonough.

The scope encompasses replacement of wall-hung and rooftop air conditioning units, furnaces, fan coil units, heat pumps, and ceiling-mounted water source heat pumps with reuse of existing ductwork where feasible. Work includes installation of new energy recovery units, a roof-mounted kitchen exhaust and make-up air system, and complete central plant replacement (cooling tower, heat exchanger, pumps, boilers, piping, insulation, and accessories). All new equipment must integrate into the existing DDC controls system, and gas piping and electrical connections require modification to support the installations.

Bids will be awarded on a lump-sum basis to a registered general contractor. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond of not less than 5 percent of the Base Bid, and Performance and Payment Bonds equal to 100 percent of the Contract Price are required upon award. Submitted bids may not be withdrawn for 60 days following bid opening. Bidding documents are available electronically through PBK Architects Georgia, P.C., and may be examined at Construct Connect, Dodge Data & Analytics, or the architect's office; a non-refundable $250.00 deposit is required for registration.

A non-mandatory pre-bid conference is scheduled for July 23, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the Administrative Office Annex. The Henry County Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities.
