About this opportunity
The Mississippi Department of Finance and Administration is requesting bids on police vehicles under IFB 1130-27-R-IFBD-00010, with bids due September 4, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. Central Standard Time. The solicitation is available to all state agencies and governing authorities within Mississippi, including counties, municipalities, and special districts, for the purchase of 2027 or newer vehicles for law enforcement purposes only. No guaranteed purchase quantity is specified.
Acceptable full-size patrol vehicles include Chevrolet Pursuit Tahoe (4WD and 2WD), Dodge Pursuit Charger and Durango, and Ford Utility Police Interceptor and F-150 Pursuit variants, or equivalent industry-recognized vehicles. Acceptable special service vehicles include Ford Expedition and F-150 SSV variants, Chevrolet Tahoe and Silverado SSV models, and Dodge Durango and Ram SSV models. All vehicles must meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards, EPA air pollution control regulations, and Michigan State Police testing requirements before deployment. Standard equipment includes air conditioning, power windows and locks, cloth seats, automatic transmission, and hands-free capability. Vendors must include title fees in pricing and may charge a maximum documentary/service fee of $425.00 per Mississippi Automobile Dealers Association regulation, which must be deducted from contract price and separately itemized on the bill of sale. All vehicles require comprehensive pre-delivery servicing at vendor cost. Manufacturer warranty covers three years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first.
Bidders must be properly licensed Mississippi motor vehicle dealers maintaining an established brick-and-mortar facility capable of providing warranty service, repairs, parts availability, and pre-delivery servicing. Prices remain firm throughout the contract term; any request for price increases results in contract cancellation and five-year disqualification from the Qualified Bidders List. Delivery must occur within 180 calendar days of purchase order receipt. The contract term runs October 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027. Evaluation runs September 4–9, 2026, with apparent awards distributed September 9–15 and an evaluation review period through September 22, 2026.
