About this opportunity
The Washington State Department of Enterprise Services is conducting a competitive solicitation (No. 00619) to establish new statewide Master Contracts for custom uniforms, jumpsuits, and related alteration services. The solicitation consists of two categories - Category 1 for custom uniforms and Category 2 for custom jumpsuits. The resulting Master Contracts will be available for use by state agencies, institutions of higher education, political subdivisions, federal agencies, and public-benefit nonprofits across the state, including Thurston County. Bidders must provide detailed technical specifications, pricing, and qualifications for both uniform types, including requirements for made-to-measure fit, fabric performance, and alteration services. Bids for Category 1 are due September 13, 2019, with an anticipated award in April 2020, while bids for Category 2 are due September 13, 2019, with an anticipated award in November 2019. The Master Contracts will have a term of 72 months.
The solicitation is open to all interested parties, including minority-owned, women-owned, and veteran-owned businesses, as well as Washington Small Businesses. No set-aside requirements are included. Historically, annual sales under a similar contract were approximately $620,000, with the Washington State Patrol accounting for 94% of the spend. The solicitation does not guarantee any minimum purchase, but the resulting Master Contracts are expected to be utilized by various state and local agencies across Washington. Pricing will be evaluated, and bidders may offer a prompt payment discount.
