About this opportunity

The Secretary's Office of Global Women's Issues within the Department of State seeks applications to establish a Global TFGBV Rapid Response Fund through a cooperative agreement award. Eligible 501(c)(3) nonprofits are invited to propose projects providing rapid response support services to women politicians, candidates, and civil society leaders facing technology-facilitated gender-based violence. Full proposals are due March 5, 2024 and will be evaluated based on organizational experience, capacity, and commitment to gender equality. The award ceiling is $1,975,308 for projects expected to last up to 24 months.

The fund will provide flexible resources to organizations assisting women leaders facing extreme digital gender-based violence globally between 2024 and 2026. The Office of Global Women's Issues federal grant program supports projects promoting women's empowerment through economic opportunities and initiatives addressing peace/security issues and preventing gender-based violence. Priority will be given to locations with upcoming elections that have political instability or are in transition.
