About this opportunity
The National Park Service Intermountain Region seeks re-striping of multiple roads at Zion National Park, with quotations due July 26, 2026 at 1:00 PM Arizona time. The procurement is a total small business set-aside, foreclosing competition outside that category.
Place of performance spans three park road locations: RT-10 (Zion Mount Carmel Highway), RT-11 (Zion Canyon Scenic Drive), and Kolob Canyons Scenic Drive, all in the Springdale, Utah area. The work requires re-striping approximately 28.5 miles of roadway—12.25 miles of double yellow center line and 24.5 miles of white fog line on RT-10; 6.19 miles of double yellow center line and 12.38 miles of white fog line on RT-11; and 6 miles of double yellow center line and 12 miles of white fog line on Kolob Canyons Scenic Drive. All striping must be 4 inches wide with glass reflective beads for nighttime visibility. The contractor must provide traffic control, after-hours tunnel escort of oversized vehicles, and is responsible for all labor, materials, and equipment. Night work is permitted only between September 1 and October 1 with shielded auxiliary lighting to minimize light pollution. Performance period runs August 1 through December 1, 2026.
The contract is firm-fixed price. NAICS code is 237310 (Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction) with a small business size standard of $45.0 million. Quotations must include completed Standard Form 18, price schedule, capabilities statement, three prior project references within the past five years, and evidence of active SAM registration as a small business. Evaluation criteria are price, technical capability, and prior experience. Anticipated award is on or before August 1, 2026.
