The lease opportunity requires a minimum of 15,786 ABOA square feet and a maximum of 17,759 RSF, located within a defined geographic boundary that includes areas north of I-670, south of I-435, east of Highway 71, and west of I-35 and Highway 69. The solicitation (RLP # 36C25525R0016) is structured as a competitive lease proposal with the request for lease proposal expected to be released on 03/26/2025 and offeror proposals due back by 05/30/2025. While specific evaluation criteria are not detailed in the pre-solicitation notice, interested parties will need to demonstrate compliance with the spatial and geographic requirements. Key contact personnel for this opportunity include Contracting Officer Lee Grant and Contract Specialist Jan Carlson from the VA Network Contracting Office in Leavenworth, Kansas.
The lease opportunity is designated as a total small business set-aside, meaning only small businesses can compete for this contract. The procurement is categorized under NAICS code 531120 for Lessors of Nonresidential Buildings and PSC code X1DB for Lease/Rental of Laboratories and Clinics. Although the precise award value is not specified, the lease will be for a medical facility space suitable for a radiation therapy clinic. The geographic constraints and specific square footage requirements suggest a precise location and facility type are crucial to meeting the VA's operational needs. Potential offerors will need to carefully review the detailed requirements and ensure their proposed space meets the VA's precise specifications for a radiation therapy clinic within the defined Kansas City Metro area boundaries.
