Project Details: This project includes reconstruction of 3.773 km of roadway on Park County Road US 212, otherwise called Beartooth Highway.
Type of Construction: grading, concrete bridge, culverts, concrete headwalls, riprap, aggregate base course, and paving, traffic control, public information
The route is currently 5.4-6.1 m (18-20 feet) in width the proposed project will increase the roadway width to 9.0 m (30 feet) for the length of project.
The existing asphalt surface is severely degraded and the existing drainage is under hydraulic capacity for the entire project. The proposed project includes drainage improvements by the addition of new culverts and the construction of a concrete bridge over the Little Bear Creek. The proposed project will also address safety items in regard to roadway width, clear zone, signing, and striping.
Estimated total cost is between $12 - $15 million.

Non-Mandatory Contractor Site Visit for the WY FLAP 212(8) Beartooth Highway project.
September 27th 10:00am at the Top of the World Store parking lot. Store is located on Beartooth Highway. No RSVP is required.
