About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Network Contracting Office 19 is conducting a market research survey to identify potential sources for a Ground Ambulance Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract at the Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center in Aurora, Colorado. The contract will require a vendor to provide 24/7 emergency and non-emergency ambulance transportation services, including Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Life Support (ALS), and Critical Care Transport (CCT). Interested companies must submit their response by March 12, 2025, at 4:00 PM EST, providing company details, point of contact information, SAM UEI number, and their socioeconomic status. Respondents are encouraged to include capability statements, past performance documentation, and other relevant information demonstrating their ability to meet the contract requirements. The evaluation will focus on determining the interest, capability, and socioeconomic classification of potential suppliers.
The Sources Sought Notice does not indicate a specific set-aside designation, allowing participation from various business types including small businesses, HUBZone, 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), and others. The contract is structured with a base year and four one-year option periods, with an anticipated annual volume of 204 emergency ALS transports, 5,000 non-emergency BLS transports, 492 non-emergency ALS transports, and 25 critical care transports. The contractor must be capable of handling up to 30 simultaneous transport requests and must meet specific requirements such as maintaining proper licensing, following infection control protocols, and providing all necessary vehicles, personnel, equipment, and supplies. While no specific budget range is disclosed, the pricing structure includes base rates for the first 40 miles, with additional mileage charges and wait time fees. The contract will use NAICS code 621910 for Ambulance Services and PSC code V225 for transportation services.
