About this opportunity

The U.S. Air Force, through the 100th Force Support Squadron at RAF Mildenhall and the 48th Force Support Squadron at RAF Lakenheath, is soliciting comprehensive mortuary affairs support services across the United Kingdom. The requirement includes collection, transportation, and secure refrigerated storage of human remains on a 24/7 on-call basis, with all services provided in strict compliance with applicable UK laws. Contractors must establish tiered pricing structures based on three distance categories (within 30 miles, 30-150 miles, and beyond 150 miles) and demonstrate the capability to temporarily hold remains at a licensed facility for up to 30 days before onward transportation to the designated military installations. Award will be made to the lowest price, technically acceptable offeror based on evaluation of past experience, firm-fixed pricing, and technical capability. The deadline for submission of completed quotes is 1400 BST on April 15, 2026, and contractors must submit questions regarding the solicitation by 1400 BST on March 23, 2026.

This procurement is not designated as a set-aside for small business concerns, and no incumbent contractor is identified in the solicitation documents. The Blanket Purchase Agreement carries a total ceiling value of $350,000.00 across a five-year ordering period extending from May 31, 2026, through May 30, 2031, with individual task orders ranging between $25,000.00 and $40,000.00. The anticipated annual volume is estimated at 1-5 cases requiring various levels of mortuary service, including deceased transfers from hospitals, on-base facilities, county coroner locations, and other sites throughout the UK mainland to RAF Mildenhall, RAF Lakenheath, or to commercial airports for international transport. Performance will occur in the United Kingdom, and contractors must maintain active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) and provide primary and alternate points of contact for mortuary affairs coordination with each installation.
