About this opportunity
The National Park Service Intermountain Region is seeking a licensed contractor to replace two potable water pressure pumps at Tuzigoot National Monument in Clarkdale, Arizona. The solicitation (No. 140P1525Q0097) requires contractors to remove existing old pumps, dispose of them, and install new contemporary equivalent pumps that meet specific performance parameters of 70 gallons per minute at 145' total dynamic head with a 5 HP motor. Contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) with a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) and submit quotes via email to Taylor Jones by 1:00 PM Arizona time on June 6, 2025. The award will be made to the lowest-price offer that meets technical specifications and prior experience requirements, with an estimated award date on or before June 15, 2025. Bidders must provide pumps compatible with 208-230/460 volt, 3-phase power and running at 3450 rpm.
The contract is a 100% small business set-aside under NAICS code 221310 with a small business size standard of $41.0 million. The project has a defined period of performance from July 1, 2025 to August 1, 2025, totaling approximately one month. Site access is limited, with contractors required to navigate a short trail and climb 10 concrete steps to reach the pump room, and no vehicle access is available to the pump installation area. The pumps will be controlled by mercoid switches with on/off setpoints based on pressure tank levels, and the government has specified a "Brand Name or Equal" specification for the equipment. The total project will be executed as a service contract at Tuzigoot National Monument, located at 25 W Tuzigoot Rd., Clarkdale, AZ 86324, with the Availability of Funds (SAF) clause per FAR 52.232-18 applied to the procurement.
