Industry Day Conference Announcement


The Tactical Air Control Party Modernization (TACP-M) Program is hosting an Industry Day Conference for TACP Close Air Support System (CASS) Software Version 1.4.5.


The purpose of this conference is to engage industry and review the draft RFP including draft Sections L&M for the future acquisition of the TACP CASS v1.4.5 contract. Also, this Conference will present the acquisition strategy and schedule, provide preliminary technical information and receive industry feedback. The Industry Days will be held July 11th and 12th 2012 at the HAFB Hanscom Conference Center. Specifics are provided in following paragraphs:


1. Industry Day Conference: Will take place on July 11th and 12th 2012 from 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (ET) at the Hanscom Conference Center, Building 1106, Hanscom Air Force Base, MA 01731-5000. The meeting will be UNCLASSIFIED.


Due to space limitations, attendance at the Industry Day Conference will be limited to a total of four (4) representatives per contractor team (prime and subcontractors). At least one representative from each participating contractor must attend the Government's briefing which will be held on the first day of the Industry Day Conference. Proof of US citizenship (passport/birth certificate) is required for these representatives. Any company that wishes to attend the Industry Day Conference must convey its interest, the full names of individuals attending, their Date of Birth, and a single contractor point of contact (POC) email address no later than 12:00 PM (ET) June 25th 2012 to:

Industry Day Conference agenda, Draft RFP documentation and specific issues/questions that the TACP-M Program is interested in receiving industry feedback on will be posted on FedBizOPs no later than 27 June 2012.


2. Visitors: Visitors to Hanscom AFB, MA must use Vandenberg Visitors' Gate off Route 2A (Bldg 1617). The Vandenberg Gate is open 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. The Visitor Center is open 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. See map data below.


A list of attendees will be provided to the Vandenberg Gate Visitors' Center for the processing of base passes. Please note visitor information below:
a. Full name and Date of Birth is a base access requirement for all visitors. Not providing the proper information may result in denied access to the installation.
b. When operating a motor vehicle on a Federal installation, the following traffic laws must be adhered to: Seatbelts must be worn at all times while operation a vehicle and cell phone use is prohibited, unless a hands free device is utilized such as a blue tooth. The main roads are 25MPH and all parking areas are to be traveled no more than 15 MPH.
c. Also, while on a Federal installation, your vehicle is subject to search at any given time and failure to permit such a search can result in loss of base driving privileges or barring from base.


A TACP CASS Software POC will be at the front entrance of the Conference Center for sign-in from 7:30 am to 8:15 am on July 11th.

3. One-on-One Sessions: Separate one-on-one meetings with contractor teams will be conducted in the afternoon of July 11th 2012 and, if needed, all day on July 12th 2012.
