Tactical Air Control Party Close Air Support System (TACP CASS) LCMC/HBDK intends to release a solicitation for a Full and Open Competition for the development and support of TACP CASS Software Version 1.4.5. The development effort will include all system and software engineering and testing to field this next generation of CASS software on multiple platforms (e.g., mounted, dismounted) within the TACP environment. Interim Contractor Support (ICS) will be required once the new software version (Version 1.4.5) is fielded.
ESC OMBUDSMAN PROGRAM. Mr. Lawrence Coe serves as the Ombudsman for AFLCMC (Hanscom and the GSUs). The Ombudsman hears concerns about specific issues in acquisitions, communicates those concerns to the AFLCMC Commander (AFLCMC/CC), AFLCMC Deputy for Acquisition (AFLCMC/CA) or AFLCMC Deputy for Support (AFLCMC/CV) from industry or Government personnel, and assists in the resolution of those concerns. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals, the source selection process, or the adjudication of protests or formal contract disputes, nor does the Ombudsman diminish the authority of the program manager, contracting officer, or source selection official. When approached with an issue or query the Ombudsman independently assesses the situation and provides a response or initiates a resolution, and when requested, will maintain confidentiality as to the source of the inquiry.
