About this opportunity
The U.S. Department of State, specifically the U.S. Embassy in Georgetown, Guyana, is seeking to procure two SUV-type vehicles through a competitive solicitation. The Request for Quotations (RFQ) Number 19GY2025Q0001 calls for vehicles with specific requirements, including seven seats, four-wheel drive, automatic transmission, and various features like cruise control, anti-lock brakes, and 360-degree parking assistance. Interested offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to offer submission, with failure to do so resulting in a non-responsive quote. The procurement will be evaluated on a lowest-price, technically acceptable basis, with quotations due by April 17, 2025, at 1400 hours. Submissions can be made either via sealed envelope to the U.S. Embassy in Georgetown or electronically to a specified email address.
The solicitation is not set aside for any specific group and will be awarded as a firm-fixed price contract with a six-month performance period. The vehicles must be manufactured in 2025 and come with a minimum three-year/100,000 km manufacturer warranty. The place of performance is Demerara-Mahaica, Guyana, and the contract requires vehicles with specific attributes such as a neutral color, all-terrain tires, rubber mats, front and rear mud guards, and a full-size spare wheel. While no specific award value is mentioned, the contract includes various federal acquisition regulation requirements and mandates detailed representations and certifications from offerors. The amendment to the original solicitation notably changed the vehicle requirement from left-hand drive to right-hand drive and added clauses related to greenhouse gas emissions and sustainable products.
