Requirements for a 2d Barcode Surgical Instrument Fiber Laser are as follows: 
 
-Power is to be 110v.
-Have a CFR Class 1-4 laser for etching UDI on to reusable medical devices and instruments.
-Fit in a compact space roughly 18" x 14" and no taller than 38".
-Have exhaust port and vacuum with HEPA filter.
-Manual Z-axis for precise vertical movement allowing for exact placement of a UDI.
-Cabin large enough to accommodate larger surgical instruments.
-Built-in GS1 reader that allows the hospital to easily decode and convert to human readable GS1 data matrix verification.
-Built in tablet with CAD templates built in.
-Multi wavelength OD8+ protective glass front to allow for easy viewing and positioning of instruments.
-Compatible with CensiTrac system.
-Includes warranty. 
 
The requirements for the training of this device is as follows:
 
-Provide up to 32 hours on and off-site training for users. 
-Two Laser Safety Training Certificate
