About this opportunity
The National Park Service at Crater Lake National Park seeks supply, delivery, and installation of a Remote Power Pack Trash Compactor System consisting of one remote power pack unit and two 20-yard compactor/container units, with quotations due September 18 by 5:00 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time. This is a Total Small Business set-aside; quotations from non-small business concerns will not be considered.
Place of performance is Crater Lake National Park, Klamath County, Oregon. The NAICS code is 333310 (Commercial and Service Industry Machinery Manufacturing) with a 1,000-employee size standard. The PSC code is 4540 (Waste Disposal Equipment).
The system must consist of two fully interchangeable 20-cubic-yard self-contained containers measuring 20 feet long by 8 feet wide by 8 feet high, each with heavy-duty steel construction, reinforced floors and sidewalls, leak-resistant design, and corrosion-resistant coating. Containers must feature both front and side openings for loading and be compatible with trucks rated to 58,000 lbs GVW with 32-inch center-to-center rail spacing. The centralized remote power pack shall feature a hydraulic/electrical unit capable of operating both containers independently via quick-connect hydraulic and electrical connections requiring no specialized tools, 240V 3-phase 60Hz electrical service with push-button controls, emergency stop, safety interlocks, overload protection, and UL-listed components. Delivery must be fully assembled to the Maintenance Building. A minimum 12-month warranty is required covering the power pack, hydraulic system, electrical components, and containers. The Buy American provision applies.
Period of performance is September 25 through November 20, 2026. The Government anticipates awarding a firm-fixed-price purchase order. Evaluation considers price, technical acceptability, schedule, relevant experience from the past six years, and past performance. Quoters must submit SF 1449, a price sheet on a lump-sum basis, technical acceptability documentation, proposed schedule, and three past performance references via email to loren_thomas@nps.gov.

The National Park Service (NPS) at Crater Lake National Park, (CRLA), Klamath County, Oregon, has a requirement for the supply and installation of a Remote Power Pack Trash Compactor System consisting of one (1) remote power pack unit and two (2) 20-yard compactor/container units as specified in accordance with the Statement of Work (SOW).
This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. Quotations are solicited only from small business concerns. Quotations received from concerns that are not small business concerns shall not be considered.
The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 333310, with a corresponding size standard of 1,000 employees.
The Government anticipates award of a firm-fixed-price purchase order resulting from this solicitation. Evaluation for award will be made in accordance with the simplified acquisition procedures outlined in FAR Part 12. The Government anticipates issuing an order resulting from this request for quotation to the responsible quoter whose quotation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered.
Quotations must be received in their entirety via email as instructed in Section III B(g) no later than the date and time specified in Block 8 of the SF 1449.
