About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) from the National Park Service at Crater Lake National Park for the supply, delivery, and installation of a remote power pack trash compactor system.
The contractor must furnish one remote power pack unit and two 20-yard compactor/container units that are fully integrated, interchangeable, and operational upon installation. Each 20-cubic-yard container must measure 20 feet long by 8 feet wide by 8 feet high with heavy-duty steel construction, reinforced floors and sidewalls, leak-resistant design, and corrosion-resistant industrial coating. The remote power pack system shall consist of a centralized hydraulic/electrical power unit capable of operating both containers independently with quick-connect hydraulic and electrical connections that require no specialized tools for disconnection and reconnection. The system must include high-performance hydraulic pumps and motors, integrated hydraulic cylinders, fluid reservoirs, factory-installed and tested components, and 240V 3-phase 60Hz electrical service with push-button controls, emergency stop, safety interlocks, overload protection, and UL-listed components. The containers must be fully interchangeable with standardized connections and compatible with trucks rated up to 58,000 lbs GVW with 32-inch center-to-center rail spacing and typical loaded weight of approximately 34,120 lbs.
Delivery must occur fully assembled to Crater Lake National Park's Maintenance Building 14 in Klamath County, Oregon, with coordination required through the Government point of contact. The contractor shall offload, position, level, connect to electrical service, integrate the system, perform operational testing, and ensure full functionality. The system is subject to Government inspection and must meet all specifications before final acceptance. A minimum 12-month warranty covering the power pack, hydraulic system, electrical components, and containers is required. The contractor must provide operator manuals, maintenance manuals, hydraulic and electrical schematics, and parts lists. All work must comply with OSHA, NEC, EPA, and industry standards. Payment requests must be submitted electronically through the U.S. Department of Treasury's Invoice Processing Platform System (IPP) within 30 days of work completion. The Government point of contact is Nick Ryan.
