About this opportunity

The United States Marine Corps has issued a Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Contract to Stryker Sales LLC for annual maintenance services on emergency medical services (EMS) equipment. This Special Notice pertains to the maintenance of Stryker brand equipment utilized across seventeen Marine Corps fire stations, including hydraulic cots (Power-Pro series), powered cot fasteners (Power Load series), resuscitation devices (Lucas devices), and specialty wheelchairs (Stair-Chairs). The Marine Corps Fire and Emergency Services (F&ES) requires this maintenance pursuant to Marine Corps Order 11000.11A, which mandates regular inspections, testing, preventative maintenance, repairs, and recertification for all fire apparatus and emergency medical equipment. The equipment is considered critical for agency operations and must be serviced annually to ensure optimal functionality. The contract will be awarded under Simplified Acquisition Procedures with Other Than Full and Open Competition.

The primary objective of this Special Notice is to provide an opportunity for interested parties to submit Expressions of Interest (EOI) if they believe they can provide comparable maintenance services for the specified Stryker equipment. Contractors have until 2:00 PM PST within five working days of the notice's publication date (August 13, 2025) to submit their EOI via email to the designated contracting officers, Mr. Jarren Cristales and Ms. Maria Caceres. The government will review all submissions to determine if a comparable source is available, though they retain sole discretion to decide whether to compete the proposed contract. No solicitation document currently exists, and telephone inquiries will not be accepted. The anticipated contract award date is September 5, 2025, with work to be performed across various Marine Corps installations as coordinated between the Contracting Officer Representative and the selected contractor.
