About this opportunity
The U.S. Embassy in Mexico City is preparing to procure specialized drain inspection and water jetting equipment through a single-source procurement with an anticipated award value of $69,000.00, with the solicitation to be released on SAM.gov at a future date to be announced by the Facility Management Office.
The procurement is not set-aside. Place of performance is the New Embassy Compound in Mexico City. The equipment must comprise RIDGID brand items only—specifically two SeeSnake Pipe Inspection Monitors, one SeeSnake Underground Inspection Camera System with 131-foot capacity, one SeeSnake Camera Reel with 325-foot capacity, one Corded Water Jetter, and one Gas-Powered Water Jetter—with no substitutions accepted and all items matching specific OEM part numbers and models.
Equipment must operate within drainage systems ranging from 1 1/4" to 10" diameter pipes and support digital recording, storage, and data export via Bluetooth and/or Wi-Fi connectivity. Systems must function on standard 110–120V commercial electrical power or be self-powered via gas or battery. All inspection monitors, cameras, and reels must be fully compatible within the RIDGID ecosystem. Equipment must be suitable for indoor and outdoor use, including wet, confined, and underground pipe environments.
The single-source justification rests on RIDGID's superior logistical advantage through authorized distributors in Mexico, offering immediate access to parts, local technical support, and warranty services. The current absence of in-house inspection capability forces the facility to outsource diagnostics at higher operational costs and delayed response times. In-house capability will reduce emergency repairs, improve diagnostic accuracy, and extend plumbing system lifespan.
