About this opportunity
The Air Force Research Laboratory Space Vehicles Directorate seeks statements of capability to provide research, engineering, and technical management support across four functional areas: mission development, prototyping/assembly/integration/testing, flight operations, and ground systems development. Support is needed for space technology concept development, analysis, demonstration, integration and evaluation. An Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity contract with a ceiling of $499 million over five years is anticipated to be awarded based on demonstrated relevant experience, security clearances, staffing plans, and responsiveness to the criteria in the Request for Information. Statements of capability are due by February 5, 2024.
There is no set-aside designation for this opportunity. Support will be provided under NAICS codes 541715 and PSC codes R425 and R408. The incumbent contractor is unspecified. The contract has a potential award value of $499 million to be issued between 2025 and 2027 for functional support across experimental missions of various scales over the five-year period of performance. Small businesses are encouraged to respond and identify applicable business size standards and socioeconomic programs.

Purpose: The Air Force Research Laboratory, Space Vehicles Directorate (AFRL/RV), is conducting market research relative to exploring approaches providing the required research, engineering, and technical management for performing space technology concept development, analysis, development, integration, experimentation, demonstrations, and evaluation in support of the AFRL/RV mission, including cradle-to-grave processes and functions for a range of experimental complexity. The information herein only initiates communication with industry to assess market potential. No solicitation documents exist currently. This request for information (RFI) constitutes no Government obligation to procure these services or issue a solicitation. The Government does not have an obligation to pay for information responding to this RFI and will not accept any responses as offers.
