About this opportunity
The Indian Health Service (IHS), a component of the Department of Health and Human Services, is conducting market research to identify Native-Owned, Buy-Indian firms capable of providing brand name IT equipment for the Lower Brule Service Unit and Lower Brule Health Center in South Dakota. Specifically, the agency is seeking Dell-branded computer equipment including OptiPlex All-in-One desktops, Latitude laptops, and Dell monitors, with detailed technical specifications outlined in the accompanying documentation. The Sources Sought notice serves as a preliminary market research tool to determine availability of qualified vendors before issuing a formal Request for Quote. Interested companies must respond via email by February 19, 2025, and provide key business information including their Unique Entity Identifier (UEI), point of contact details, and company type. Respondents must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and demonstrate capability within the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 334118, which has a small business standard of 1,000 employees.
This procurement is designated as a Buy Indian set-aside, meaning only Native-Owned businesses are eligible to compete for the contract. The solicitation does not guarantee contract award, and companies will not be reimbursed for response preparation costs. While no specific contract value is mentioned, the procurement will be a firm fixed-price, commercial item purchase for computer hardware. Potential vendors must complete an Indian Economic Enterprise (IEE) Representation Form, certifying at least 51% ownership by members of a federally recognized tribal entity. The equipment specifications indicate a requirement for three primary items: Dell OptiPlex All-in-One 7420 desktops, Dell Latitude 5550 laptops, and Dell 24 Monitor P2425H units, each with specific technical requirements and multi-year support services. All responses will be submitted to David Jones, Contract Specialist at the Great Plains Area Indian Health Service in Aberdeen, South Dakota, with the Sources Sought number SS-25-006.
