About this opportunity
This solicitation seeks proposals to provide ship alteration and installation services for the AN/SLQ-32(V)6 and MK-53 Decoy Launching System aboard the USS John C. Stennis at the Huntington Ingalls Industries Newport News Shipyard. The Department of the Navy Naval Sea Systems Command seeks to procure the necessary labor, materials, and engineering services to install these electronic warfare and decoy systems. Offerors must demonstrate the ability to perform tasks like installing foundations, cables, piping, equipment, conducting surveys and tests, and ensuring quality standards. Proposals were due initially on November 30th, 2022 according to Amendment 4, and will be evaluated based on technical approach, past performance, and price.
This 100% small business set-aside procurement has a place of performance at the Newport News Shipyard. Offerors must have the required security clearance and facilities to complete the installation within the period of performance, which will be determined based on the response. The work includes tasks under PSC codes J019 and R499 for quantities necessary to outfit one CVN-class aircraft carrier with these electronic warfare and decoy systems. The solicitation does not provide an estimated award value, but responses will help determine the contract funding required.
