About this opportunity

The National Park Service Midwest Region issued a request for quote for one septic pump truck at Bryce Canyon National Park with quotes due June 4, 2026; however, Amendment 0001 issued May 26, 2026 cancels the solicitation in its entirety, and the NPS does not intend to resolicit this requirement at this time.

Prior to cancellation, the procurement was a 100% total small business set-aside under NAICS code 336120 (Heavy Duty Truck Manufacturing), with a small business size standard of 1,500 employees. Place of performance was Bryce Canyon National Park, 3200 South Highway 63 Maintenance Yard, Bryce, Utah 84764.

The specification called for one new, fully assembled vacuum septic pump truck suitable for sustained operation in mountainous terrain. The required truck chassis was a Mack Granite 6x4 or equivalent, with minimum 450 HP diesel engine, 10–14 gear PTO-capable transmission, 64,000 lbs minimum GVWR, air ride driver seat, 80–100 gallon fuel capacity with integrated DEF system, air brakes, engine brake, power steering, and enclosed cab with heating and air conditioning. The tank assembly required 4,250+ gallon total capacity (3,250+ gallon waste compartment, 1,000+ gallon fresh water compartment) in aluminum vacuum-rated construction, ASME-rated dished heads, internal baffles, and full-length skids. The vacuum system must be PTO-driven, 940 CFM at 4500 RPM, 15 PSI full vacuum, with 4-inch inlet/outlet and oil-less operation. Delivery was FOB Destination within 180 calendar days after award. The contract type was firm-fixed price for commercial products under FAR Part 12. Evaluation criteria were price, technical capability, and prior performance references. Questions were due May 28, 2026.
