About this opportunity
The Department of the Army Corps of Engineers Engineering Support Center Huntsville published a Limited/Sole Source Justification Notice for maintenance and support services of ScrubeEx equipment at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in Fort Bliss, Texas. The ScrubeEx system is a secure, advanced machine that provides authorized medical staff with clean scrub uniforms in appropriate sizes while managing inventory through real-time monitoring and automated alerts when supplies reach predetermined thresholds. The Army Corps of Engineers awarded contract W912DY25C0029 to L1 Enterprises Inc., which serves as the exclusive distributor and service provider for the proprietary ScrubeEx equipment manufactured by IPA, on September 26, 2025. The sole source justification is based on the fact that only L1 Enterprises can service the existing ScrubeEx equipment installed throughout the medical facility, and market research conducted on NASA SEWP and GSA platforms identified no alternative sources. The contract structure includes a base year running from September 30, 2025 to September 29, 2026, with four optional 12-month extension periods that could extend the contract through September 29, 2030, for a total potential five-year term. The contract value has been redacted from the available documentation, and the procurement was conducted under FAR 6.302-1 due to the critical nature of the equipment for hospital operations and patient care.
