About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs Regional Procurement Office East is seeking janitorial services for the Burlington Community-Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) located in Vermont through a Request for Quotations (RFQ) solicitation. The procurement covers comprehensive cleaning services for approximately 17,608 square feet of clinic space, including daily evening cleaning between 4:00 PM and 11:00 PM, with optional early morning floor cleaning from 6:30 AM to 8:30 AM during non-patient hours. Contractors must provide extensive daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks across patient care areas, restrooms, waiting areas, and administrative zones using EPA-registered germicides and environmentally friendly cleaning products. The evaluation will be based on a comparative assessment of price, technical capabilities, and past performance to determine the response most advantageous to the government. Following two amendments, quotes are now due by September 26, 2025, at 10:00 AM EST, submitted via email to Contract Specialist Syreeta Shaw at syreeta.shaw@va.gov.
This procurement is set aside exclusively for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) and Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) under NAICS code 561720 with a small business size standard of $22 million. There is no current incumbent contractor for this opportunity, and the VA will provide specific cleaning supplies including waste bags, Purell products, cleaning wipes, and disinfectants, while the vendor is responsible for all other consumables. The contract period runs from October 2, 2025, to December 31, 2025, covering a facility that accommodates up to 99 VA personnel, though not simultaneously. Services will be performed at the Department of Veterans Affairs Vermont Healthcare System located at 128 Lakeside Avenue, Burlington, VT 05401. Interested vendors must be registered in SAM.gov and VetCert databases and verified by the Small Business Administration for veteran-owned business status prior to award.
