This Pre-Solicitation Notice is being issued by the United States Army Corps of Engineers - Chicago District to inform interested/potential contractors of the District's imminent issue of an Invitation for Bids to obtain construction services for its "ROSEWOOD PARK CONSTRUCTION PROJECT" located in HIGHLAND, ILLINOIS.
PROJECT INFORMATION: Under the contract set, the contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary labor, equipment, and materials for the project. Work includes removal of invasive species, an existing culvert, and an asphalt parking lot. The parking lot will be replaced with porous pavers, and the bluff and beach areas will be planted with native plant species. The project also consists of shoreline construction, with the extension of groins and construction of breakwater structures. Performing of incidental related work will be included.
ACQUISITION INFORMATION: Competition for this acquisition is RESTRICTED to SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS. The Classification Code for this procurement is North American Industry System Code 237990, which applies a small business size standard in dollars of $33.5M. The estimated price range for this construction project is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. In order for contractors to be awarded contracts with the Department of Defense, the contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM); registration can be completed free of charge by accessing https://www.sam.gov. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed price CONSTRUCTION contract from this acquisition. FAXED OR ELECTRONIC BIDS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
