About this opportunity
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Air and Marine Operations is conducting a Request for Information (RFI) for aircraft sensor services to determine available sources for technical support and maintenance. The RFI seeks capabilities for sustainment, repairs, and modifications of multiple sensor systems including SeaVue Radar, APG-66(V)5 Radar, AAQ-22 Star Safire II EO/IR, and Minotaur Mission System used on various aircraft platforms such as P-3 Orion, DHC-8, MQ-9, and Beechcraft 200 LR. Contractors must maintain repair benches at Cecil Commerce Center in Jacksonville, FL and provide 24-hour troubleshooting and logistics support. Key personnel qualifications include OEM certification, Factory Intermediate Level Repair Training, a DOD Secret clearance, and completion of a CBP Background Investigation. The RFI requires electronic submissions limited to 15 pages, with questions due by February 5, 2025, and final responses due by February 12, 2025 at 1:00 PM EST.
The current contract is performed under GSA OASIS Pool 1 for Engineering Services (NAICS 541330), with an anticipated contract duration of five years including options. There are no specific set-aside designations for this opportunity, and the RFI is purely for market research purposes to assess potential contractor capabilities. Interested parties are advised that the government will not reimburse any costs associated with responding to the RFI. The scope of work encompasses comprehensive maintenance and repair services for complex aircraft sensor systems, indicating a potentially significant contract value. While specific budget ranges are not disclosed in the RFI, the technical complexity and breadth of required services suggest a substantial procurement opportunity for qualified engineering and technical support contractors with specialized aerospace and sensor system expertise.
