About this opportunity

The National Park Service Northeast Region is soliciting proposals to replace surveillance cameras at various locations throughout Shenandoah National Park in Virginia. The procurement seeks a firm-fixed price contract for the removal of existing cameras and installation of new IP network-connected, 4 MP resolution cameras with Power over Ethernet (PoE) capability across six locations, including four entrance stations (Front Royal, Thornton Gap, Swift Run, and Rockfish) and two optional visitor center locations (Byrd and Dickey Ridge). Key requirements include integration with Milestone XProtect Corporate VMS software, compliance with NDAA standards, provision of network switches, UPS equipment with one-hour minimum battery backup, local recording servers capable of storing 30-90 days of video footage, and installation of Cat6A cabling where necessary. The contract will be awarded using a best value source selection process under FAR Part 13, with evaluation based on technical merit and past performance. The proposal submission deadline is January 30, 2026 at 12:00 PM Eastern Time, and a mandatory site visit was held on December 18, 2025 at 10:00 AM ET.

The contract performance period is 90 calendar days from notice to proceed, with the overall period of performance scheduled from February 2, 2026 to May 4, 2026. Davis-Bacon prevailing wage rates apply based on three Virginia wage determinations covering the North, Central, and South Districts where work will be performed.
