About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center is procuring repair services for 12 Pilot Warning Alarm Sets (NSN 6340-01-153-8073, PN 205-074-033-103) that support the TH-1H helicopter training platform. These RPM warning detectors operate on DC power and monitor rotor and engine RPMs through tachometer circuits, displaying "RPM WARN" messages on the Multi-Function Display and producing audio alerts when RPM limits are reached. The contract requires returning the entire spares inventory to serviceable condition over a one-year performance period, with repairs conforming to original equipment manufacturer specifications and maintaining the original Form, Fit, and Function requirements. Evaluation will be based solely on price, and the government has issued this as a combined synopsis/solicitation (RFQ FA8524-25-Q-0009) with no separate written solicitation to follow. Amendment 0001 updated the governing technical reference from DMWR 55-6340-206 to Air Force Technical Order 12P2-2TM55-1-3, and quotes are due by September 16, 2025, with anticipated award by September 30, 2025.

This procurement does not include any small business set-aside designation and is open to all eligible contractors. The contract supports a fleet of 27 TH-1H helicopters stationed at Fort Novosel, Alabama, though the specific contract value is not disclosed in the available documentation. Performance will occur at the contractor's facility, with repairs following Air Force Technical Order specifications and qualified repair stations able to perform the work without additional OEM approval. The contract includes an additional Contract Line Item Number for one unit designated as No Fault Found/Beyond Economic Repair (NFF/BER), bringing the total scope to 13 units. Work must be completed within the 12-month performance period running from September 2025 to September 2026, with strict performance standards including limits on delivery schedule slippages and product quality deficiency reports.
