About this file

This document is an amendment to a solicitation for repair services, specifically updating the technical reference for maintenance procedures. The amendment revises paragraph 5 of the combined synopsis/solicitation, changing the governing technical document from Depot Maintenance Work Requirement (DMWR) 55-6340-206 to Air Force Technical Order (T.O.) 12P2-2TM55-1-3 for depot-level maintenance of a component (Pilot Warning Alarm Sets). The new reference provides additional details, including that qualified repair stations can perform the work without additional OEM approval, and that the part will be released with a Military certificate of conformity and a teardown report in accordance with the specified Air Force technical order.

Text version

The purpose of this amendment is to:

A. Revising the verbiage in paragraph 5 of the combined synopsis/solicitation as follows:

FROM:

The repair services for this component will be performed in accordance with (IAW) Depot Maintenance Work Requirement (DMWR) 55-6340-206. This means that the repair is based on U.S. Government-furnished technical data. The DMWR provides the necessary authority and technical guidance for depot-level maintenance of the Pilot Warning Alarm Sets.

TO:

The repair services for this component will be performed in accordance with (IAW) Air Force T.O. 12P2-2TM55-1-3. This means that the repair is based on U.S. Government-furnished technical data. The Air Force T.O. attached provides the necessary authority and technical guidance for depot-level maintenance on this part. Since the Air Force T.O. governs the repair procedures and is government-controlled, it authorizes qualified repair stations to perform the work without needing additional OEM approval. This part would be released with a Military certificate of conformity and the teardown report IAW Air Force T.O. 12P2-2TM55-1-3. These facts also correlate to what is depicted in the current Contract Repair Screening Analysis Worksheet (CRSAW / Form 762).
