About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs Strategic Acquisition Center Frederick published this Special Notice on January 15, 2026, to announce an in-person Industry Day for the Transition Assistance Program (TAP). The event was originally scheduled for January 28, 2026, but was postponed to January 29, 2026, due to inclement weather. This Special Notice served as an informational session and networking opportunity for GSA OASIS+ Management & Advisory (M&A) unrestricted domain contract holders interested in the upcoming TAP solicitation. The industry day featured a government briefing with question-and-answer sessions in the morning and a reverse industry day in the afternoon, allowing vendors to present to VA representatives. Eighteen companies opted in to participate and disclosed their business names in the vendor list.
The primary purpose of this Special Notice was to provide industry partners with comprehensive information about the TAP program, gather feedback from contractors, and foster communication between the government and potential bidders before issuing a solicitation. The registration deadline was January 23, 2026, at 4:00 p.m., and represented firms could register up to two attendees per company, with preference given to active OASIS+ contract holders who provided their contract numbers. Only contractors holding active GSA OASIS+ M&A unrestricted domain contracts were eligible to attend, though attendance was not mandatory. The TAP program serves approximately 200,000 transitioning Service members annually across multiple federal agencies and encompasses five primary task areas: program management, TAP program execution at over 300 military installations, training delivery, curriculum development, and strategic action planning focused on data-driven improvements and modernization of the transition assistance services.
