About this opportunity

The National Institute of Standards and Technology seeks firm-fixed-price quotations for office equipment relocation services at the NIST Boulder Campus, with quotations due September 15, 2026 at 2:00 PM Mountain Standard Time and questions due August 31. This is a total small business set-aside under NAICS 484210, Used Household and Office Goods Moving.

Place of performance is Boulder, Colorado. The relocation involves moving the Public Safety Immersive Test Center (PSITC) from the FirstNet Building (3122 Sterling Circle, Boulder, CO 80301) to NIST Building 3 (325 Broadway, Boulder, CO 80305) within one business day between October 1, 2026 and January 1, 2027, with pickup from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM and delivery from 2:30 PM to 7:00 PM. The contractor must provide a moving truck or van with operator, a three to four-member moving crew, and all necessary equipment. Critical requirements include floor and carpet protection at both facilities with no exceptions to maintain warranty, special handling for IT components (10 workstations, 15 monitors, 4 large TVs, 2 server racks), and careful management of approximately 60 wall partition pieces, office furniture, and miscellaneous items totaling 20+ boxes. The contractor must pack and move items or arrange local disposal with associated dump fees included in pricing.

All contractor personnel must comply with NIST security protocols including visitor registration, federal escort requirements, vehicle registration, and identification badge requirements. Personnel require background investigations commensurate with LOW RISK position sensitivity designation under HSPD-12. A detailed site-specific safety plan addressing OSHA standards must be submitted within 7 days of award, and all safety-related equipment and training are contractor-provided. Award will be made to the responsible quoter submitting the lowest priced, technically acceptable quotation. Quotations must be submitted electronically to Lia Arthofer (lia.arthofer@nist.gov) in three volumes: Technical Quotation, Price Quotation, and Terms and Conditions acceptance.
