About this opportunity
Naval Sea Systems Command is distributing rolling domestic private sector workload forecasts for surface ship maintenance periods across five regional maintenance centers—MARMC, SWRMC, SERMC, NWRMC, and HRMC—with the most recent forecast issued on August 20, 2026 covering fiscal years 2026 through 2029. The notice explicitly states that forecasts are for informational planning purposes only and do not constitute a request for information, request for proposals, or commitment to contract. Naval Sea Systems Command publishes bi-monthly updates to the workload forecast on a rolling basis; the most recent update (FY26–29 as of August 1, 2026) is posted with next projections targeted for release by October 31, 2026. The forecasts include workload projections with modernization (MOD) estimates while excluding Advanced Industrial Intermodal Training (AIT) activities, and specify that projections remain subject to change based on Navy operations, industry manning impacts, availability duration reviews, acquisition strategies, and budget negotiations. The material is approved for public release with unlimited distribution and intended to assist DoD industry contractors in planning and resource allocation for potential surface ship maintenance opportunities. Forecasts do not guarantee specific workload volumes or exact ship schedules.
