About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Integrated Service Network 15, is conducting a Sources Sought Notice for the procurement of 18 Philips IntelliVue MX-40 1.4 GHz Smart Hopping Telemetry Packs for the Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center in Wichita. This is a Name Brand Only acquisition, indicating that substitute products will not be accepted due to specific system compatibility requirements with the facility's existing Philips Patient Information Center iX monitoring system. Interested vendors must be authorized distributors or resellers for Philips and should provide evidence of manufacturer authorization along with responses to two key questions regarding distributor status and availability through national contract vehicles. The evaluation will focus on vendor qualifications, distributor authorization, and availability through existing national contracts. Responses must be submitted via email to matthew.curl@va.gov no later than 1:00 PM Central Standard Time on January 31, 2026, with a submission deadline of nine days from the posted date of January 22, 2026.
This procurement carries no set-aside designation and does not identify any current incumbents or contractors. No award value or budget range is disclosed in the pre-solicitation notice. The requirement specifies the procurement of exactly 18 units of the MX-40 telemetry packs, which must feature specific technical specifications including a 2.8-inch color touch-sensitive display, FAST or Masimo SET SpO2 measurement capability, configurable ECG lead systems, impedance-based respiration measurement, and a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. A minimum one-year manufacturer's warranty covering all parts, labor, accessories, and software is required, with the warranty period commencing upon the VA's acceptance of delivery, installation verification, and functionality confirmation. Potential bidders should submit their responses including company name, UEI, address, point of contact information, and evidence of authorization from Philips.
