About this file

This Statement of Work describes the acquisition requirements for medical telemetry equipment by the Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center in Wichita. The procurement is for 18 Philips IntelliVue MX-40 1.4 GHz Smart Hopping Telemetry Packs, wearable patient monitors designed to interface with the facility's existing Philips Patient Information Center (PIC) iX monitoring system (Revision C.02). This is a Name Brand Only acquisition, and like items will not be accepted due to the specific system compatibility requirements.

The MX-40 units must feature a 2.8-inch color touch-sensitive display, smart multi-measurement cable systems compatible with both reusable and single-patient use supplies, FAST or Masimo SET SpO2 measurement capability, configurable ECG lead systems (Standard, EASI, or Hexad), impedance-based respiration measurement, and a rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack. The devices must support 6-lead ECG with two V-leads for diagnosing cardiac abnormalities, local measurement trending and alarm history with graphical display, integrated radio for connection to the Information Center, and short-range radio communication with IntelliVue Patient Monitors. Installation is not required, but the contractor must provide technical support to VA staff for system connectivity. A minimum one-year manufacturer's warranty covering all parts, labor, accessories, and software is required, with the warranty period beginning only after the Wichita VA point of contact or designee accepts delivery, installation verification, and functionality confirmation.
