About this opportunity

The Department of Veterans Affairs Technology Acquisition Center issued a loopback notice on May 25, 2026 informing vendors of the acquisition decision for Omnicell Medication Dispensing Cabinets; this notice is for informational purposes only and vendors should not submit proposals or responses.

The VA conducted market research via RFI Notice ID VA2600044494, posted February 20, 2026, to assess vendor capability for medication dispensing cabinets for the Western North Carolina VA Health Care System's Charles George VA Medical Center in Asheville, North Carolina. The Contracting Officer determined that fewer than two Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business concerns are reasonably expected to submit offers. Accordingly, the requirement will be pursued as a sole-source direct award to Trillamed, LLC under FAR 19.106-3 (Revolutionary FAR Overhaul), utilizing GSA eBuy Federal Supply Schedule contract 36F79720D0041, Special Item Number 65 II A-92 for medication and supply packaging and dispensing equipment. A Justification for Other than Full and Open Competition has been approved; a redacted version will be posted with the official award synopsis. The original RFI confirmation is attached to assist vendors in identifying the previous market research opportunity. The requirement is classified under NAICS Code 423450 (Medical, Dental, and Hospital Equipment and Supplies Merchant Wholesalers) and PSC Code 6530 (Hospital Furniture, Equipment, Utensils, and Supplies).
