About this opportunity

The Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southwest published a Notice of Intent to Sole Source a contract for maintenance and repair services for five Link-Belt RTC80100 cranes. Per the agency's equipment manual and maintenance requirements, work on Link-Belt cranes requires an authorized original equipment manufacturer dealer to ensure compatibility and safety using certified original parts.

The Special Notice provides that the agency will award a firm fixed price contract to Nixon-Egli Equipment Company, the only authorized Link-Belt dealer in California, to reseal hydraulic cylinders, overhaul winches, transport cranes, and reseal swivels. While other contractors may respond by June 1st to argue ability to perform the work, the agency retains discretion to make a non-competitive award. The period of performance is approximately 90 days with an estimated value of $129,400. Responses are to be submitted electronically to the named contracting specialist and will be considered solely to determine if competition is warranted.
