About this file

This notice of intent to award a sole source contract concerns maintenance and repair services for Link-Belt RTC80100 cranes. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southwest intends to award a firm fixed price contract to Nixon-Egli Equipment Company, the authorized Link-Belt dealer and service provider in California, for approximately ninety calendar days. Services include resealing cylinders, overhauling winches, transporting cranes, and resealing hydraulic swivels for five cranes. Responses to contest the sole source award may be submitted to Stephanie Sack by June 1, 2022, but the agency will determine whether to open the requirement to competition based on responses received.

The work involves maintenance and repair of hydraulic and mechanical components to ensure proper operation according to the equipment manufacturer's specifications. Transportation is required for moving cranes to and from the service location. The notice provides an opportunity for other offerors to argue they can also provide the services, but the agency retains discretion to make a non-competitive award as described.
