About this opportunity

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to REVVITY HEALTH SCIENCES, INC. for repair and maintenance of a Janus 4 TIP MPD DNA sequencer (serial number DG0907018) used in genetic research at Coleman NFH and Battle Creek. The contract is justified as a sole source due to Revvity's exclusive ownership of patents, being the original manufacturer, and having the only engineers fully trained to service this specialized instrument. The contract period runs from 05/22/2025 to 06/15/2025, requiring the contractor to provide comprehensive labor and parts for annual preventative maintenance, with the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues within 24 hours of notification. While specific pricing details are not explicitly stated, the government will determine fair and reasonable costs by comparing to similar repair services. Interested parties have six days from the notice's issuance to submit alternative capabilities, though the government retains sole discretion in determining whether to compete the proposed contract. The procurement falls under the NAICS category 811210 for Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance.
