About this opportunity

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration seeks to award up to seven contracts for hydrographic surveying services to support the production and maintenance of nautical charts. The National Ocean Service's Office of Coast Survey Hydrographic Surveys Division requires these services to acquire bathymetric and other data to map U.S. coastal waters and inland navigable areas. Firms must demonstrate relevant past performance, have qualified hydrographers and a vertical control specialist on staff, and submit responses according to the SF330 format by March 12, 2019. Evaluation criteria are professional qualifications, specialized experience, capacity to complete work on schedule, past performance including references, and location knowledge.

The solicitation utilizes a 2:1 small business reserve ratio, anticipating awarding up to four contracts to large businesses and up to two contracts to small businesses. The work involves hydrographic surveying of U.S. waters under NAICS code 541360 and PSC code R425. The period of performance is not specified but is likely multi-year based on prior contracts. Services will be performed in coastal and inland navigable areas throughout the U.S. as determined by task orders issued to the selected contractors.
