About this opportunity

The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 9 is seeking electrical wiring installation services for elevator systems at the Nashville VA Medical Center. The solicitation requires a licensed and insured electrician to install new wiring for three Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS) that will control the emergency recall and buffering system for seven elevators, including central, service, garage, and main elevator controllers. The work involves installing conduit and AWG #14 wire to connect the elevator control systems to the ATS units, with no replacement of existing normal or emergency power feeds required. The evaluation will be based on having a licensed and insured electrician, proper SAM and SBA VetCert registration, and lowest price technically acceptable criteria. Questions may be submitted to the Contracting Officer until June 26, 2025 at 11:00 am CT, with proposal submissions due by July 28, 2025 at 10:00 am Central Time.

Originally set aside exclusively for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) entities, this solicitation requires vendors to be registered in both SAM and SBA VetCert systems. KONE serves as the elevator maintenance subcontractor, while PowerGen holds the warranty for the Automatic Transfer Switches. The work will be performed at the Tennessee Valley Healthcare System Nashville VA Medical Center, with site visits encouraged and coordinated through the point of contact Mitchel Cram. The project involves electrical work on multiple elevator types across the facility, with the Nashville VA Medical Center handling elevator testing and programming while the contractor focuses on wiring installation and testing. Contractor employees will need company badges and valid photo identification for site access, though background checks are not required for this short-term project.
